At 3:00am I was laying in bed and my mind was racing, I got out of bed and wrote this down on a index card so I could remember it... Why it came to me is beyond me. Maybe it is because of everything that is going on in our country and I was reflecting back to my childhood.. Hope it makes sense Oh! What a place... There once was a place where each of us could live with Dignity & Grace A place that care’s not about color & race. Oh! What a place... The land of the free and the home of the brave The place where everyone walked hand-in-hand and NO one misbehaved. Oh! What a place... Laughter & smiles were shared by all the place where we cared for each other, & neither Anger or hatred could make us fall. We all were brothers and sisters, & time stood still Like the hands of a clock hung on a wall. Oh! What a place... Times have changed as we can all clearly see those memories forever etched in our minds are gone Forever, and will never be.
