At God’s Feet Deuteronomy 33:3 “The Lord really loves His people. He watches over them and holds them in the palm of His hand. They sit at His feet and listen to His words” Deuteronomy 33:3 (The Easy English Clear Word). I love this verse because it paints an intimate picture, a picture of a God Who cares for His people and of a people who both listen to and understand His words. This isn’t a picture of a distant God Who doesn’t care; this isn’t a picture of an uncaring God Who stands by and watches bad things happen; this isn’t a picture of a heartless God Who ignores the cries of His children. This is the picture of a God Who is caring, a God Who has an intimate relationship with His children, a God Who loves His people more than life itself. It’s the picture of a loving God Who cares for and nurtures us, a God Who holds us in the palm of His hand, a God Who is eager to become an intimate, life-changing part of our lives. By sitting at His feet and listen to His words, we get to know our God on a personal level; and it’s in those quiet moments that we truly begin to understand His wisdom and love. ~Randy & Trena Reed
