At Kennedys tournament this weekend I was asked what are the risks - TopicsExpress

At Kennedys tournament this weekend I was asked what are the risks of her playing by a parent of an opposing team. One risk I explained was trauma to her LM which could cause a bleed into it, swelling and a lot of pain. I was then asked how it is that she plays so hard with out fear. I wasnt sure how to answer that. She plays aggressively and with out hesitation. We learned a long time ago that we couldnt keep her in a bubble because that really isnt living. Hope this shows some of the little kids with LM that anything is possible and how far shes come from being on a vent, g-tube dependent for nutrition and even still having a trach she can play. This is just one of the many times she hit the floor hard (made the save!) or bumped her face this past two weekends of tournaments and shes perfectly fine and still on a high from playing! Take risks, play hard!
