At Publix tonight & I hear people shouting. I look up & see a man with Down Syndrome being yelled at by a manager. WTH? There was a guy next to them at the coin machine trading in his piggy bank. He told the manager he will pay for the groceries. The DS man who was being humiliated and in my opinion..bullied was so grateful. Once I could get to the man that stepped up to help-I handed him some cash and said its not much but I wanted to contribute. He said oh no, thats too much!! The DS guy only owed less than 50 cents and had no change!!! Are you kidding me? 50 cents?? What happened to treating people with dignity?
