At WellSpring we are starting something new. It is not something designed to be sensational but something rather simple, but according to scripture, promises to be powerful and effective. James 5:16 What are we starting? We are starting the Northeast Ohio Prayer Initiative. What is this initiative you may ask? Allow me to lay the groundwork this way. 1. We believe that many churches in our region resemble a vehicle of transportation, your choice of which one you prefer, that is mired in the mud. 2. We believe there are other churches in our region that like a passenger ship have lost their moorings and are adrift. 3. We believe that there are churches in our region that need fresh exposure to the work and power of the Gospel. 4. We believe that there are churches in our region that have no vision or vision that is unclear and are unable to move forward. 5. We believe there are churches that have lost their first love, Jesus Christ the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. 6. We believe there are churches in our region who are unhealthy and unable to reproduce and multiply. Therefore, it is our desire and goal to give this invitation and provide a place on a regular basis to anyone who feels that their church is in need of prayer. We want to invite you to come together to repent, to pray for and petition the Lord together for a fresh awakening and a mighty move of God that will rekindle the passion for the Gospel and love for God in our hearts. A Godly passion that turns to compassion as we see our friends and neighbors as Jesus sees them. A passion that moves us out to embrace the mission that God out of love for the world sent his only beloved Son Jesus in order that whoever believes receives Eternal life.
