At a family dinner last night we got into a discussion about texting and driving, and about the staggering number of people in our lives who truly believe they can do it, and still be safe on the road. I even know those who lecture their teens about the dangers while doing it themselves. I spent some time this morning watching and listening to heart wrenching stories from those that caused accidents, from those left behind, and about the lives of those no longer with us. The dangers are REAL, LIFE ALTERING and DEADLY, no matter what your age and driving ability. Today, I take the vow... once the cars in drive not one word sent, or read. I want my children to know that no message is worth the risk, and to see that I value and respect the gift of my life, their life, and the lives of all those around us on the road enough to NEVER text and drive again.
