At a minimum, all those BofA folks and even the then Treasury Secretary, Hank Paulson, should have been investigated and severely punished for gross dereliction of duty, if not something more sinister like fraud or criminal conspiracy. Paulson was called before lawmakers on the Hill and given some dressing down, but nothing more. He wiped his brows, took a bow and went home to live happily thereafter.
