At about 8:00 o’ clock in the morning of January 24, 2015, SPPSC PNP Personnel under the supervision of PSUPT MAURO FLORES TAYTAY, Company Commander conducted Barangay Visitation, Symposium/Seminar/Awareness Lectures in Brgy San Roque, Bacon District, Sorsogon City. The activity was participated by the Brgy Officials, Brgy Tanods and residents of the aforementioned barangay. Topics discussed were the following: SPO1 Rhea D Barrica, PCR PNCO of this unit discussed the Salient Provisions of the RA 9262 (Anti-Violence against Women and their Children), RA 8353 (Anti-Rape Law), and information dissemination on CNN’s Propagandas and other threats to peace and order in the barangay. PO1 Jirime L Madrona, SPPSC PCR Personnel discussed the salient provisions of RA 7610 (Anti-Child Abuse Law) and conducted distribution of IEC materials/flyers. PO2 Jeffrey D Lomberio, SPPSC TRU Member conducted lectures and practical on the Arresting and Handcuffing Techniques Enhancement Training to the Barangay Tanods in order to improve their knowledge and capabilities in fighting criminality and maintaining peace and order in their barangay. The activity ended at about 5:00 o’ clock in the afternoon of same date with a positive result.
