At approximately !0:00 A.M. yesterday, while at work, I started having severe chest pains and difficulty breathing. My boss called 911 and 3 professional, efficient, amazing, thoughtful, caring EMTs arrived and transported me to the emergency room. Once at the emergency my vitals were taken, an EKG was run, the Dr. asked questions about my medical history, and then a curtain was closed around my gurney and I was left alone for an hour. No one checked on me until the x-ray tech came to take me to X-ray. When I got back from X-ray the Money Grubbers came to take my insurance info. The clerked in formed me I had a $100 co-pay and asked if I would be able to pay the today. I told her yes, as soon as my husband got here. She said Oh! Hes out in the waiting room. He had been waiting out there for well over an hour as had my son. Since my husband had the checkbook he was allowed to come back to my bed. I finally got to go home around 5:00 P.M.. Im okay. The doctor Is almost positive it was not a heart attack. None of the tests showed any of the indicators of a heart attack. Hes almost positive that is was stressed induced muscle spasms. He wants me to followed up with my primary and have a heart stress test done. WHAT A DAY!
