At approximately 11:49 Lebanon units were dispatched to East Hebron Turnpike and Church St for the possible plane incident. Shortly after dispatch advised a plane had crashed and the pilot was pinned along with an active fuel leak. Car 806 and Car 306 requested an Engine from Colchester along with Lifestar on standby. Car 806 was first on scene and found a ultralight plane that came down in a wooded area. The pilot was extricated and transported to a local hospital by Ambulance 506. Lifestar was not needed, but we thank them for standing by until units were able to access the scene. We would also like to thank Colchester for assisting with an Engine. The scene was taken over by the CT State Police to continue their investigation once Fire Dept units cleared the scene.
