At dinner Kayla was showing Tyler how she can bend all her joints like a double jointed acrobat. Can you do this? she asked while pulling her finger backwards with a proud look on her face. Or this?, twisting her wrist or the other finger. Poor Tyler tried to copy her but just like his father his joints just dont work that way. Finally he gave up and said look Kayla I cant do that. If you are able to do those crazy things with your joints you are . . (at this point he paused a couple of seconds searching for the word he wanted to say. Although only a couple of seconds my mind started guessing what many big brothers would say: strange, freakish., mutant, and I already had my defense of Kayla ready and my lesson to teach Tyler to be more sensitive. Then he came up with the word.) . . . gifted. You are obviously gifted Kayla. Man I love that kid.
