He had not been here for some time but remembered a lot about WV, He was a musician before the war and played with a lot of big names of that time, During the war he was one the Staff of General Omar Bradley during the D-Day invasion. Once Paris was liberated, he transferred to General Pattons staff until the end of the war. He had some interesting stories, One night Patton got a call from General Eisenhower and he listened in on it. Eisenhower was telling Patton that he had to stop his advance because they could not supply him. Patton argued but eventually gave in to Eisenhower. He said General Patton was the better leader. Patton lead from the front instead of from his HQs office in the read and the men respected that.
