At midnight tonight the Official One Year Anniversary of my debut album Sophisticated will be here. As this day approaches I find myself always wanting to show why Im different and why my story is unlike any other...And the answer that always comes back to me to say is that Im not just an artist...not just this songwriter...not just this studio head...Im a proud single father and I put that before anything and everything. A lot of times I cant be out all night...I cant have a million friends...cant just disappear...and Im OK with that. I love being a good dad and cherish my roll as a father and my roll within the community to set the standard for a new beginning within our culture....a new start that doesnt include a 50% rate of single black mothers....a start that is full of responsible men who arent running from accountability. Thats where my head is at! To everyone who has my album and has supported me from day 1...I truly thank you! I Love You!! When all is said and done...no matter what path I go down or what happens in the future...My legacy as an artist starts and ends with my everyday accomplishments as a father!
