At one time or another, we will all face storms in life. Whether they are actual storms like hurricanes and tornadoes, or they are storms of a different nature, like financial problems, illness, or family problems. It is not a matter of if the storms come, but when. When the storms come, and they will, we must be ready to face them head on with the shield of our faith in Jesus Christ. But sometimes, we begin to wonder if God is asleep at the wheel. We wonder if he is paying attention to the struggles we are facing, and we question why He would allow this to happen to us. He has promised to love and protect us, but we still face the storms of life anyway. Just when we think that He is not paying attention, He comes through to bring a miracle into our lives. Somehow, we forget times in the past when He took control of our lives and protected us. We forget about all of the miracles we have seen Him do. Despite all that Christ has done for us, we stumble in our faith. Facing storms is something inevitable. At some point in our lives, we will all face terrible storms that will threaten our lives as we know it, but we must be steadfast in our faith, trusting our Lord to pull us through. Christ, who commands the wind and sea, can protect us in any storm. No matter what we may be facing, Christ will be there for us. All we have to do is ask.
