At our annual Stella & Dot conference, it was a great privilege to listen to Christy Turlington Burns speak to us about her Every Mother Counts charity. Her stories were compelling, thought-provoking and had us in tears. So many expectant mothers need help with transportation, supplies and education for their midwives and caretakers. It was an honor to meet Christy and I am proud to wear the Enlighten bracelet -- all net proceeds benefit Every Mother Counts. This cause is near to the hearts of so many women who were fortunate to have excellent medical care, clean supplies, and reliable transportation if needed. My daughter, Kate, was in an unusual breech position and had to be delivered via C-section; I cant begin to imagine the scenarios if that had not been an option for us.
