At some point, young people in poor, working class, and middle class neighborhoods are going to wonder why they are being tested to death in school and deprived of anything interesting and creative when all that awaits them is low wage work where they are as treated as badly as they are in school or colleges that they can only afford by going deep into debt. And they just might rebel. By disrupting classes. Shutting down. Or not showing up. Perhaps they already have.
