At the 3:44 mark there is the most remarkable moment and the most gorgeous and specific use of a Pause I have seen in quite some time. Heres Gaga, intentionally Gesturing and using her Shapes to indicate: Love, Guns, Sorrow, and constant searching. And then, as she lets us in on whats actually happening, on whats true in her heart and whats going on right then and right there, shes all but frozen in time. She stands, her Shape tall and bright, and as the audience applauds, waiting for her, begging for her to continue, Gaga stays completely present. She is in the middle of a discovery, in the middle of a confession of her truest moment in the song....I am in love and I am in chaos. Watch her breathe. Through the Pause there isnt one minute of Being Frozen...she is There, and she is utterly alive and flourishing. A courageous and brilliant and specific few seconds while all of us are hanging in the middle of Liminal Space.
