At the CWA District 3 Meeting today, Gail Marie Perry was the recipient of the 2013 Woman of the Year Award. This woman, a single mother, a political activist and lobbyist and a steward for Local 3104 has contributed most of her waking hours to our union and her community. There are many of us who toil for this union without regard to reward or recognition but few have done as much as Gail Marie. She was overwhelmed and almost left speechless but she pulled it together to encourage us to make educating our members and our communities our priority. She never gives up the fight for social justice.
