At the L.A. Opera, the most expensive seats seem to be around 10,000 baht, and the cheapest for the same event (with handrail, restricted view) around 500. At the San Francisco Opera it starts at about 800 baht and goes to 12,000 baht. At the Met, again, they start around 800 baht and rise to 15,000 baht. At Opera Siam, the most expensive seats are 3,000 baht, and the cheapest (if you qualify as part of an approved school tour) are free. The leading roles in our productions are generally taken by singers who you would have to pay 3-4 times more to see in Europe or America. Our singers have sung in the LA Opera, the Met, Chicago Lyric, Bayreuth, San Francisco, Covent Garden, English National Opera ... at most of the worlds leading houses. Auditorium Magazine, published in Berlin, just stated that our recent productions of The Flying Dutchman and Dan no Ura are the equal of any in Europe. Please continue to support Thailands international-level opera company in its efforts to bring you the whole worlds heritage - with a uniquely Siamese flavor.
