At the May 2014, International Pachyonychia Congenita Consortium - TopicsExpress

At the May 2014, International Pachyonychia Congenita Consortium (IPCC) Scientific Symposium, there was consensus that more needs to be learned about the basics of PC. We need now to learn more about the nerves, blood vessels, sweat glands, other genes that interact with PC genes and other contributing factors that lead to PC pain, cysts and other features unique to PC. Identifying these factors may provide additional treatment targets. We plan to use the October Patient Support Meeting to gather information on these areas which is why it is essential as many European PC patients as possible attend!
