At the November 12, 2013 meeting of the Allenhurst Board of Comissioners there was an agenda item to approve a Resolution for Use of Beach Area in which Private Easements were Granted in conjunction with Beach Replenishment. It likely was passed unanimously. The easements required from the private home owners in Allenhurst have been obtained. The next step is for Army Corp of Engineers to present a plan to the Board of Comissioners to approve. Based on the last information that I have, Allenhurst is scheduled for a Fall 2014 replenishment to restore the beach to pre-Sandy levels What does this mean? I dont know, and I dont think anyone else does either. There is going to come a time when the elected officials in Allenhurst are going to vote on changes that will alter the beach for generations to come. Make sure your voice is heard. Dont let Allenhurst turn into another beach like most of Northern Monmouth County!
