In this blog post, Shelley Pasnik, Director of the Center for Children and Technology and a vice president of Education Development Center describes the Prekindergarten Transmedia Mathematics Study that links appropriate tech use in the classroom with gains in math skills for young children. Key findings - kids learned math and teachers grew more confident teaching math when classrooms are equipped with high-end technologies, such as interactive whiteboards and laptop computers, and when teachers are encouraged to use high-quality free content featuring popular characters.
