At the Youth Retreat in L.A.over the weekend there was a beautiful tall young man in a wheelchair... He was part of another group, but we met in the food line. I went over to pray with him after dinner. He started sharing how he thinks it might have been Gods way to slow him down, because of the amount of peace he has had about being paralyzed for life... If you were a dad, would you paralyze your child to try get him to play less sport?, No , Exactly. He says if your father who is evil knows how to give good gifts, how much more your heavenly father...in other words : God is a better dad than you are. A light went on and it was a profound moment for him. But for me not so much. Walking down the hill on my own to our meeting afterwards I was crying at the thought of how God must feel being so misunderstood. During worship, I found myself weeping face down on the floor in repentance on behalf of a people who doesnt believe God is a good Father... God please let me preach this message to the world!. And believe me - I will.
