At the end of 1954 The Maritime Major Hockey League was dis-banded and a new league was formed called The Atlantic Coast Senior Hockey League . This league would run for 2 years 54 to 56. The Charlottetown Islanders of the Maritime Major League joined along with The Moncton Hawks The Fredericton Capitals and The Amherst Ramblers . This league was recognized by the CAHA making these teams eligible for Alan Cup Play . The only difference in the second year is that Charlottetown left and Saint John Beavers took their place . I remember seeing a lot of the games and it was great serious and rough hockey. So lets look at some of the teams and players hope you remember this.
