At the end of November I felt very proud and also humbled that I was awarded a Civic Honours Award from Brendan (Mayor) and Sheryl (Mayoress) and Horowhenua District Council for all my volunteer work. Flowers. a plaque and a scroll I do volunteer work so that I can still be at home and available whenever Gordon needs me, also both John and I volunteered for many a year helping organisations we are both associated with, Levin Group RDA Diabetes Horowhenua, Horowhenua College Past Pupils Assn Levin Bird Club and Tararua Rodders Thank you to Members of Levin RDA who put forward my nomination. I love all you guys, I love the work I do for all the groups, but most of all I love my family for their constant help and support. And I dedicate this award to John as well who did a lot of volunteer work when he was alive too
