At the end of the game yesterday some significant presentations were made. The Challenge Cup was originally competed for between 1RNZIR Singapore and visiting RNZN ships. The first time was in 1976 and since the RTNZ of 1RNZIR has only been played for a couple of times. CA and CN have agreed that in keeping with traditions the Challenge Cup will be up for grabs at each Army vs Navy game I. The Services tournament. Congrats Navy. Next Richie Player was presented with his black cap (25 games) the first player to become eligible, having played 26 games for Army by 2011. Jimmy Berghan played his 12th game yesterday and therefore was presented with his red cap. Great to see these two players given a fitting haka by the team. Pockets were presented to Ptes Filipo, Abraham, Tpr Oliver, Spr White and Sgt Togia. Well done all; heads up; still a job to do.
