At the risk of sounding very unpopular, can I ask that we prioritize religious rights over the heforshe campaign? While Watsons points about womens rights are true, I cant help but feel this issue is no where near as pressing as the atrocities happening to Christians and other religious minorities at the hands of ISIS in the Middle-East. Ms. Watson, women are being raped, captured, and sold by ISIS, so how does your campaign acknowledge or seek to help this minority? Men and women are being killed in grotesque manners over there, and I cant help but feel THAT issue of human life and the basic right to live should be prioritized and rallied before this heforshe campaign...and yet what are we doing about these tragedies in the Middle-East and how much press coverage is being directed at ISIS and their atrocities in comparison? Not trying to hate or say that womens equality isnt worth talking about, but when is a popular celebrity going to stand up for a REAL issue that is costing thousands of people their lives? Its simply aggravating to watch a very comfortable and successful woman wave a banner of inequality when a larger injustice takes place. Carry on.
