At their meeting on December 2, the GCCS Board of School Trustees recognized the Jeffersonville High School boys’ tennis team for their fantastic 2014 season. The 4th ranked Red Devils were the Hoosier Hills Conference champions and went 20-2 for the season. They defeated New Washington 5-0 to capture their eighth consecutive sectional title, then beat the Highlanders of Floyd Central 5-0 for their fourth regional title in six years. The Red Devils defeated Columbus North 4-1 to advance to the IHSAA State Finals for the second time in school history. The team was defeated at the state semi-finals by Jasper High School. Congratulations to the team for their hard work this season and competing at the state level! Team members include Kyle Mayrose, Connor Buntin, Matthew Dale, Austin Hunt, Cameron Chinn, Joe Burke, Sam Coward, Jack Reilly, Brock Winchell, Dominic Zelli, Kooper Falkenstein, Casey Wiles, Bradley Cross, Neal Bhatt, Luke Stock, Keith Asplund, Jerid Inman, Trey Bottorff, Suyash Uppal, Sam Gatewood, Gerrin Moore, Jacob Carr, Dylan Ratliff, Neah Thacker and Coaches Mark Reilly and Curt Roehm.
