At this point, I really hope I get that job at the museum in Anchorage. Ive been doing some research on exhibit design and museums in general and it looks like itd be a challenging, yet great opportunity. Theres so much that can be done to create an experience. I was watching a curator or director from the Santa Cruz museum do a talk on TEDx, and it was really inspirational. The concept of how an exhibit is laid out to promote discussion between strangers is fascinating to me. I also was noticing how my background doing casinos was very much like museum exhibit design. its a lot of the same types of materials, ambiance, lighting and focal point design that I do currently. Fingers crossed.
