At time immemorial, there once lived an old man in an ancient village, very wise and diplomatic. He proffered solutions to various community issues, ranging from marital, ethnicity, land disputes, king-making to a host of others. In short, he was the wisest then. There came a day that another wise lad, rose up and tried to challenge this man, the lad thought within himself that it’s hightime he became the next Solomon in the village, that the old man’s tactics were outdated. He then went to the riverside and caught a live butterfly, carefully held in his fist, straight to the old man and said, “Mr wisest, i have two little questions for you to prove your wisdom, firstly, i’m holding a butterfly right in one of my fists, tell me where it is, right of left? Secondly, is the butterfly still living or dead? The old man starred directly into the boy’s eyes with smiles and said, “my dear child, the answers lie in your hands”. He was astounded, “how.....what do you mean”? He retorted. Then, this wise man said, if i should say the butterfly is in your right fist, it might be in the left, likewise if i say it is live, u may kill it trickery. So the answers are in your hands. You are also the potter of your own destiny. Never be deterred by any limitation. In whichever circumstance you find yourself, develop a passion for whatever you’re doing. I never believed in the saying, that you do what you love, but rather, you love what you do. You may not have the privilege of going after you passion, so you develop one and build your world around something else found being done. Take a look at yourself as an island (though, there’s none), then assume independence. Whatever your chosen career is, whatever your weakness is, whatever your gender is (even if harmaphroditic), one thing is certain, that God doesn’t care. All you have to do is to believe in who you are. Discard those not in synchronism with your belief and will, because if you want to run fast, or probably walk, you do away with unnecessarily conglomerate attachments. Don’t be intimidated, because you don’t scare a dead man with death, no doubt that most people are going to hurt you,but you have to find someone worth enduring pain for. Stay focused, and when your time comes, your face will definitely beam with smiles.
