At times, it still seems surreal to be working for the U.S. Federal Government. I remember crying (joyfully, I guess) like a little girl when the position was even considered lol. It wasnt too long ago when I was interning at Houston City Hall, and I remember being star-shocked by Council Members and even stuttered when in attempts to talk to them lol. Fast forward, I now find myself sharing ideals, thoughts, feeling, and even laughs with one of the most Senior Members of the U.S Congress. Though the job is intense, at times, I cant believe how blessed I am for being here and sometimes even question if I even deserve it. I am not a believer that everything happens for a reason, but I am here now. When my mother passed away in 2006, I vouched to be everything I could be, and though it took time, I unconsciously became a work-a-holic. So, I frequently ask myself, whats the next step? Maybe thats why I now face, by far, THE biggest self inflicted challenge of my life - the pursue of a Law School.
