Athena update, but first I would like to thank you all for your kind words and healing prayers. We had our visit today at VSEC. It was determined after xrays and ultrasounds that as of now the cancer has not spread. Athena will have another surgery to get clear margins at the past tumor site. Once that is achieved she will not need chemo but it is recommended she have quarterly staging (chest X-ray) to ensure the cancer is not spreading. We will work through this and do what we feel is best for Athena and give her the best possible care we can. Special "Thank you" to my bestie Carol Horan, for not only being my co pilot but also enduring the long appointment and I practically starved her!
