Athlete of the Month goes to MARLA THOMPSON! Those of you who know Marla, you know shes just the sweetest person to be around. She was one of our very first members and has been with us for over 5 years! She has made some HUGE gains and, even though small, she can pick up some significant weight. I remember when it was my goal to meet her STRICT press weight...shes just amazing. She never brags, never compares herself to others and NEVER gives up. She has asthma and that inhibits her performance a lot of the time as she will say in her T-bow stance, but I cant breathe! Not only is she a great athlete but shes is always willing to lend a hand. She has on many occasions, help a fellow athlete with form and technique. Its great to know she cares about you guys, too. I called her coach marla twice last week because she was helping someone with their squat and she was doing a GREAT job. Her response was, well ive been here for 5 years, i better know what im talking about by now haha Just knowing that there is someone in class that is really watching you along with the coaches and willing to give some advice when she thinks it will be beneficial to someone is a great feeling. Im very happy to announce Marla as our athlete of the month. If anyone else has something positive to say about Marla, feel free to comment below. Oh wait, thats right SHE DOESNT have Facebook. Thats ok, shell finally bite the bullet when she knows people are commenting positive things about her. So post away!
