Backed by a fantastic soundtrack, and a great cast of Irish actors, Good Vibrations is a must-see Irish film. Winner-best Irish film, Galway Film Fleadh 2012 Tuesday 1st October 2013 8p.m. Blessed (Australia) 2009 Director: Ana Kokkinos in English 111 mins 18 This Gritty realistic Australian film addresses the parent/child relationship from both sides, with the events of one day in Melbourne shown from the point of view of a group of young people, then switching to their mothers’ reactions to those same events. Finely acted by a large cast, four thematically linked stories are played out on the meant streets of the city: unhappy mothers mistrust their children, drifting children mistrust their mothers. The emotional effect of this challenging film will linger.
