***Athlone Half Marathon, Saturday 13th October 2014*** Our coach Gary OHanlons winning streak continued on Saturday when he won the Athlone Half in 69:55, its been a phenomenal few weekends for Gary, winning the Dingle marathon last weekend and the Tullamore Half the previous one. Fantastic achievements! Luke Forde led the Dunboyne contingent home on a very hot day in a time of 1:18:49, nothing close to his phenomenal run in the National Half two years ago but Luke has been on a break recently following an excellent track season. Gerard Plante broke the 1:40 barrier and was next home for the Club in a time of 1:39:19, super going from the big Corkman! Sisters Clodagh Dunphy and Norma Farrell, the latter our sole F4L representative in the race, picked up where they left off in Bohermeen and ran PB times of 1:52 a piece, well done ladies!
