Atoske - Aboriginal Training Opportunity for future Saskatoon Employment. 12 First Nations youth start their 2 week training program today. Next friday they will graduate with certifications in First Aid CPR-C, WHMIS, High 5-Principles of Healthy Child Development, Introduction to Coaching, Financial Literacy, Junior Achievement- Economics for Success, and Resume & Portfolio Development. They will also have a chance to explore a wide variety of employment opportunities with the City of Saskatoon & PotashCorp. Two more camps will begin July & August... busy busy... All spots have been filled. This will mark the 6th year of the Atoske program and since its creation, over 160 First Nations and Metis youth have graduated and gained meaningful pre-employment training.
