Attached is a "discharge petition" that was introduced in the House of Representatives which will bypass the Speaker and bring a clean CR for a vote on the floor. It requires 218 House of Representatives signatures to get the clean CR onto the House floor for a vote. If the clean CR is passed, it will passing the budget, temporarily, ending the government shutdown without any strings attached. Congress can start signing this petition on Saturday. Please urge your congressman to sign this petition and vote to pass the clean CR. You can do this by sending him/her an email (Google your congressman, his email will be in your search results.) Also, share this link to inform your friends so they can take action. Deal with the Partisan issues AFTER the government shutdown is over.
