Attended a candidates meeting yesterday and stated Democrats for Social Credits policy on and use of Financial Transactions Tax to enable currently untaxed Billions of speculative foreign currency transactions to be used to replace GST. The question was put by one of the audience as to what Labour and Nationals view was on FTT and quite frankly I was astonished at the respective candidates responses. Neither of them had even a basic understanding of Financial Transactions Tax and after fumbling for answers conceded that they just didnt know. Not very reassuring given that both National and Labour claim to have the ability to determine effective economic policy. Its high time people in this country realised (especially National and Labour supporters) that there is only one party with any understanding of or policies to effectively improve the Debt ridden economic malaise that the NZ economy has become. Time for change, time for Social Credit Monetary Reform.
