Attended last nights board meeting of Butler County Farm Bureau, and listened to the absolutely unprecedented number of challenges facing American agriculture. From unfair taxation, to weather-related setbacks, to attacks from radical groups with an agenda to end animal agriculture or force production standards that would leave famers unable to feed our population, our farmers are under attack. Please DO NOT support groups like HSUS or PETA, and know the facts about the GMO foods vs organic debate, and realize that there is NO difference in the quality of the food produced. And as you sit down to Thanksgiving dinner this week with your family, please continue to be grateful for our American way of life, and dont forget to THANK THE FARMER who, against all odds, proudly grew that meal for you.
