Attended the DC Filmfest yesterday with my awesome friend Denise. She was a trooper! We saw three films - Half Yellow Sun with Tandie Newton and Chiwetel Ejiofor (Twelve Years a Slave). Pretty good. Then a lighter film from Argentina called Lions Heart about a woman who falls in love with a man, but he is only 411. Great message about how love not only comes in all colors and creeds, but also sizes! Finally, a dark Danish film called the Keeper of Lost Causes. WOW. This is why I moved back here, to live in a diverse city with lots of great, cultural things to do. So Ive seen 3 of the 10 movies I want to view. Have an awesome Sunday whatever you are doing.
