Attended the Next Door Prison Hotel show at The Red Bird Restaurant wine bar this evening after Raising The Dead. The transition from Grateful Dead music to NDPH was smooth. I heard sounds. I learned that John Sporman becomes disagreeable when challenged to play a straight 1, 3, 5 triad. He can only do it if he plays the major 7th as well. Nonetheless, hes pretty friendly even when being disagreeable. Charming, even. The other guy, Travis Yost, tried, perhaps successfully, to convince me that I need a Ditto Looper. One sometimes suspects a fork has been taken, but one never knows until the wheels stop at an entirely different destination than the one you aimed for. Oh, and I had dessert, and it was cakey, ice creamy and berry-laden. Any mention of other local and regional illuminati I encountered and interacted with would be superfluous at this point.
