Attention Clyde-Green Springs parents and students: today there was an unsubstantiated rumor at the high school that a student was carrying a firearm in the building. The school administration immediately informed the Clyde Police who responded immediately. The student was searched, along with his possessions. No weapon was discovered, and it was determined that the allegation was a rumor. Following the incident, rumors spread through the student body and across social media. Students responsible for the unsubstantiated rumor have been disciplined. I want to thank the high school administration for acting quickly, as well as the Clyde Police for responding quickly to our call. I would like to emphasize that at no time were any Clyde High School students in danger, and that your child’s safety is our top priority.
