Attention Facebook friends and Family, I would like to make a quick announcement. I will no longer refer to myself as “broke” or a “poor college student”. And although the impulse to make these funny, but false statements is almost second nature now, there are ultimately two reasons why I have decided this: 1. I am not poor. I am blessed beyond all measure. I have two loving parents that support me and are funding my college education. I have an on campus job that helps me meet my basic needs. The fact that I can even go to a college university is a privilege, not a right. 2. This one is more important. I am RICH in my knowledge of the gospel. I know what Christ did on the cross for me and that is more important and beautiful than anything money could ever bring me. I am not a poor college student.
