Attention PIES (Panel of Imperfect Experts) a Mom asks this question. Category: Dialectal Behavior Therapy. Has anyone had any experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) or other alternative therapy for kids with mood disorders or on the bipolar spectrum? My son is 8 and traditional talk therapy just does not work with him. I found a therapist who uses a combination of DBT, play, art and even canine therapy. Fingers crossed this will help somewhat.
