Attention friends in the Desert Winds, I, Lord man-at-arms Riin Cari, along with my regent Squire Lord Gregor Clegane, have made the decision to remove ourselves from candidacy for Baron and Regent of Iron Hold. As we have not officially been voted into office, we have no positions to step down from, we are simply removing ourselves from the ballot. Speaking only for myself, I joined Amtgard because I saw it as a positive place for me to come and have fun, and make friends. The hostility I feel from Iron Hold, most of which I feel is directed at me, has injected a negativity in my life that I neither appreciate not desire. I am prepared to mantle any future political repercussions for my actions, but I do not believe I have any help that Iron Hold is willing to accept. Thank you.
