Attorney Sharon Caulfield recently attended the Annual National Conference for the senior services sector association LeadingAge, which was held in Nashville. This conference brings together 40,000 people who provide goods and services through nonprofit retirement communities, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities and community based services. Sharon is the Colorado LeadingAge representative to the national Legal Advisory Committee, which met all day on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014. At the plenary sessions for the conference, the “go to” event was a talk by leadership thought leader Simon Sinek. His talk focused on how to recognize what motivates team members. Simon’s earlier TED talk on “Start with Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action” has been widely viewed on YouTube and Sharon reports it is well worth a few minutes of your time:
