Auggie, an adorable yellow lab from Arlington Virginia said goodbye to her family yesterday. After surviving surgery at about 6 months old to remove a piece of towel from her intestines, she has lived a long and healthy life until the last few months. Her appetite began to decrease immensely and her liver was having issues. She was kept comfortable and hand feed all kinds of awesome foods to encourage her appetite. Once she no longer wanted those favorite foods and became weak and wobbly, her family knew she no longer had the quality of life they wanted her to have. She will be missed so dearly.
