August 20, 2014: The Campaign Question As we kick off this - TopicsExpress

August 20, 2014: The Campaign Question As we kick off this campaign, there is one question and one issue that will dominate the discourse: “How will the government foster economic growth in New Brunswick?” The Progressive Conservative party has been very clear on this question for the last number of years; we will grow our economy through innovation and resource development and we have established a strong foundation for these initiatives. Our plan is to see the same industries that are driving the most successful economies in Canada developed right here at home. We have established our Innovation Strategy that will continue to see over $80 million invested into startups, research and development, and mentoring. These efforts have already helped numerous entrepreneurs develop new businesses, hire new employees and grow our provincial economy. We have also taken great strides in developing our resources with projects in areas such as shale gas, forestry and mining. Our province was built on natural resource development and a Progressive Conservative government will help write the next chapter in that narrative with the development of a shale gas industry that will create thousands of jobs and bring billions of investment dollars to New Brunswick. We have made our plan very clear. The opposition parties have made it clear they are opposed to developing these important natural resources. And that is the choice New Brunswickers will be making on September 22. Do we stop the progress on the long term vision the Progressive Conservatives have for natural resources development and innovation, or do we allow the opposition to close the doors to the same opportunities that turned provinces like Saskatchewan and Newfoundland into have provinces? Over the next four weeks, the Progressive Conservative party will continue to be very clear on our plan for the provincial economy because it is the only plan that will see new industry take hold and create new jobs in our province allowing our people to thrive and prosper here at home. craigleonard.ca/the-campaign-question/#
