August 6, 2014 Burn Day Status Information: CAL FIRE has suspended all burning in Humboldt, Del Norte and Trinity Counties. Residents with valid Air Quality permits within the Ferndale VFD jurisdiction are exempt from the suspension. Non-Standard burn permit holders in the Ferndale VFD jurisdiction must also obtain a valid CAL FIRE LE-5 permit in order to burn. CAL FIRE is presently issuing LE-5 permits only for special circumstances. Burn Day information for Zone 1- Residents within the Ferndale VFD Jurisdiction who have an Air Quality burn permit and if required a CAL FIRE LE-5 permit, Wednesday, August 6, 2014 is a permissive burn day . All other residents in Zone 1: Burning has been suspended. Burn day information for Zone 2 & 3- Burning has been suspended.
