August 7, 2014 AVAILABLE POSITIONS 2014-2015 PROGRAM YEAR: SEPTEMBER 30, 2014 - MAY 30, 2015 (30 WEEKS) As we grow and expand, the Board of Directors of the Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) has approved the following positions for internal and external advertisement. JUNIOR MENTORS (15) Junior Mentors will be responsible for assisting the Mentor team with the day to day operations of an assigned center and approximately 45-60 students. They will also be required to commit to attending schedule District Meetings once a week for two (2) hours and scheduled activities on some weekends.Junior Mentors will also be required to attend training workshops as scheduled by the YEP Office.The Junior Mentor reports to and work directly with the District Manager and Asst. District Manager. It is recommended that the candidates for this position was a former YEP Member, has a passion for youth work and youth development, the candidate for this position should have been an Officer in the past in a YEP District or a YEP Award Nominee or recipient. Candidates must be a High School graduate and currently employed or studying in COB or some Tertiary Institution. Junior Mentors are considered between the age of 17-20. Space is limited.
